Biography Rev. Patricia Saxon Mann is an Ordained Minister affiliated with the Christian International Apostolic Network. Patricia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights Bible College and a Master’s Degree through Southwestern Christian University with a concentration in Leadership and is currently pursuing a Masters in Human Science at Capella University specializing in Mental Health Counseling. Patricia is founder of Athens Bread of Life Church. She and her husband Dwayne are Pastors.
Bread of Life Church is a multi-cultural congregation with a mission to teach and equip the people of God to “do the works of Jesus” John 14:12; to preach the gospel to the poor, bring healing to the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, the recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are bruised, and proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18, 19) God has called Patricia to a last day soul winning ministry to the lost, a healing and deliverance ministry to the body of Christ, and given her a Prophetic voice to the church.
One of Patricia’s goals is to bring more awareness of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Prophetic Gift to churches across denominational lines, and to offer sound Biblical instruction about the Holy Spirit for God’s people of all denominations. Pastor Mann is a certified instructor for Bishop Bill Hamon’s Christian International Apostolic Network’s Manual for Ministering Spiritual Gifts.
Patricia was married for thirty-seven years and became a widow in 1997 with four grown children and four grandchildren. Having grown up in a severely dysfunctional home where hate and rage ruled the house she lost all hope in God in her late teens, and spent the next twenty-five years in total darkness where she did not believe that God existed. Jesus came into her life at age forty-three and began a process of healing and deliverance. The Lord has healed Patricia of emotional and mental wounds, he has healed her painful memories, supernaturally delivered her from a twenty year addiction to cigarettes, and led her to forgive those who wounded her. The Lord has set her free from a lifetime of pain and bondage. Patricia walks in divine health and provision trusting in God to meet every need for herself and the Athens Bread of Life Church.
Patricia is a native of Savannah, Georgia but lived in Helen, Georgia when she became a Christian. Prior to her conversion she worked in Real Estate, Accounting, Property and Casualty Insurance and lastly she operated a craft shop in Helen and Sautee, Georgia making folk art wheel thrown pottery when Jesus called her to mold and shape lives instead of clay.
After completing Graduate School in 2004 God brought a new love into Patricia’s life at the age of sixty-three. A God ordained marriage resulted in a truly blessed life. Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ!
The Mission of Athens Bread of Life Church
The mission of our church is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to make disciples and to equip God’s people to “do the works of Jesus.”
John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
We believe in the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16-17
We believe the Holy Bible is the written Word of God and that Jesus Christ is the living Word of God. II Tim 3:16; John 1:14; John 6:63
We believe that the Bible proclaims that we can be healed by faith -- spiritually, mentally, and physically -- as we trust in God’s Word and in the promises for healing that God has made through His Word. Isaiah 53:5; James 5:14-16.
We believe that the Bible teaches us that the Holy Spirit operates spiritual gifts through believers and that these gifts mentioned in I Corinthians 12:3-11 are still being used today through those who believe.
The Athens Bread of Life Church is a fellowship of Christians who are united together in the faith to worship God and minister to one another and the community. We are multi-ethnic and multi-generational, made up of various cultural and economic backgrounds with the purpose of growing and maturing in Christ, and worshipping God together.
Our church services are made up of joyful worship, prayers and preaching. Equipping and training God’s people to be strong mature Christians.
